Law and Public Safety at Shadow Mountain
The Law and Public Safety program prepares individuals to apply theories and practices of organization management and criminal justice to the administration of public law enforcement agencies and operations.
Instruction includes:
- Law enforcement history and theory.
- Operational command leadership.
- Administration of public police organizations.
- Labor relations.
- Incident response strategies.
- Legal and regulatory responsibilities.
- Budgeting.
- Public relations.
- Organizational leadership.
Students develop leadership and community service skills through participation in a career technical student organization (CTSO) SkillsUSA, where they can compete at a local, state, or international level.
