DAAPS Application Instructions

The Application pieces for the 2025-26 school year will become available on August 1st. There will be some minor changes in the process. For those students that have applied prior to the end of the first quarter, a reminder email will be sent for the grade report submission. It will be important for students to NOT wait to begin the application process. When we reach maximum capacity, students will be placed on a waiting list.  We will begin admitting students in the mid to late part of October based on the date of application submissions and meeting of the admissions criteria. • DAAPS admissions are competitive and based on established criteria, with priority given to complete applications reviewed in the order received.
• There are 3 parts to the application below. Students must be Honors/Gifted Students with a minimum 3.5 GPA on a Current Grade Report to be submitted at the conclusion of the 1st quarter of the 8th grade school year or after. Students will also need to obtain a teacher recommendation from a current teacher (preferably English or Social Studies). 
• There are a limited number of spots available in the program. 
• The entire process is electronic.
